My boyfriend is going to jail for domestic violence, did I ruin his life?
This is what I had asked before on whether it was wrong:
We’ve been together nearly two years. We’ve always been known to get into heated argument. Our passion for love is just as strong as our passion for hate. We had gotten into a heated argument. He had taken one of my old phones and it was one of the phones (similar to a blackberry, sidekick, droid) where it stores all your information in the system. He hacked on to my social networks and when a friend of mine sent me a message he got upset. When the friend of mine (who yes, is a male) wanted to skype chat wth me (I don’t ever cam up) my boyfriend came over to "catch me in the act". I’ve never cheated on him, but I wasn’t even allowed to talk to boys during our relationship. If I fell asleep on the couch I was somehow sneaking out to cheat on him, so he says. Anyways, so he came and started to go through my cmoputer. He started to yell and scream and told me I’m a slut and broke up with me. I said find, but I wanted my phone back because he took it without my permission AND it has ALL of my information. Not good for an exboyfriend to have don’t you think? We stayed argueing for about twenty minutes before it got physical. We began to wrestle with eachother and then he proceeded to choke me. I’d hit him to get off of me. First with his forearm and I hit him back. He turned me on my stomach and began to choke me with his arm. the L part of your arm I’m not sure how to describe it. When you put someone in a head lock, is what he did. And began to squeeze. I could feel my windpipe closing and I was so scared. He used to tell me things like this is the last thing you’ll ever going to see. I’m going to ******* kill you. I thought he was really going to do it. I hit him over and over again in the head with a febreeze bottle.

The police came. I have scratches and bruises all over my neck and body. He called me this morning to tell me he’s going to have ME arrested for busting up the side of his face.
Was I wrong? This isn’t the first time, and this is actually the second time he’s been arrested for it (first case was dropped). I know I’m stupid, I don’t know what to do.
Am i wrong? Did I do something wrong? Am I going to be alone forever now because who is going to love a broken girl who can’t even love herself.
I’m so scared I’ll never find another man to love me the way he did.

I tried to drop the charges but they said theres nothing I can do about it now. He’s so mad at me, and he said that I ruined his life. They are going to give him felony charges. Did I ruin his life, or did he?
Thank you for all of your responses. I feel guilty because I do not want him to have a felony hanging over his head. I admit at times we’ve both been aggressive towards eachother. I admit , even, at times that I was the one to hit him first. I’m not complaining about him hitting me. I could care less that he hits me. I just get so scared when he chokes me. If I hit him in the back of his head (open hand) he results straight to choking me. Now he wont stop calling me trying to get me to drop the charges. The police said that there is nothing I can do about it anyway. It’s up the D.A. from now on. Now he’s mad at me because he said I ruined his life. Is it my fault that he choked me? He said he’s never hit another woman before, and that he got a long great w/ his ex’s. One if his ex’s told me that he hit her once, but then he cried and apologized and never did it again. Is it just me who provoked all of this? I’ve never been in a violent relationship before.
And, I have a household full of witness’s. My cousin and her boyfriend had to pull him off of me. Is he ever going to live a normal life? Does a felony ruin someones life?

And to answer your question – HE ruined his life by trying to kill you. You are not responsible for his actions.

I'm sorry this is so lengthy: How do I get someone to stop liking me?
This guy really likes me but I’m not interested in him at all. Last year, he asked me out 3 times. When he tried to come on to me a fourth time, I was kind of insensitive and completely blew him off in the worst way. It’s not something I’m proud of, but I was really annoyed. Anyway, I thought he would forget about it and find someone else, which he did. He had a few girlfriends since last year. Surprisingly, he’s not mad about what I did and speaks to me sometimes but his behavior suggests that he’s not completely over it. i remember it was really gory and there were these teenagers and they were in a canoe thing going down this river or whatever in the jungle and there was this house or shack on the water and there was an old woman there. i think in part (if i am not confusing 2 different movies) that there is a part where this guy takes fish hooks or something and sticks them in this guys eyes to close them or in his lips. i can’t remember.

The Thai horror movie with the teenagers canoeing down the river sounds like Phobia – also called 4Bia.

The canoeing teenagers, who all die and become ghosts but don’t realise it, is one of 4 stories in the movies. Hence ‘4Bia’.

The lip-stitching could be another Thai movie called Art of The Devil. Actually, there’s Art of The Devil 1, 2 & 3. Difficult to know which, but Art of The Devil 2 is particularly big on fishhooks and to a lesser extent they feature in AotD 3.

RoboCop 3 (1993)

Plot: Omni Consumer Products (OCP) begins its plan for the creation of Delta City.
