IMDB rating: 6.70 Plot: CW Briggs is a veteran insurance investigator, with many successes. Betty Ann Fitzgerald is a new employee in the company he works for, with the task of reorganizing the office. They don’t like each other – or at least that’s what they think. During a night out with the rest of the office employees, they go to watch Voltan, a magician who secretly hypnotizes both of them, in order to use them for his dirty schemes. Is mentalism a lot of BS?
I’m watching these mind reading shows. You know, these guys who go up to people on the street, get them to write down all these numbers and then they recite them perfectly. I think a lot of these tricks are less spectacular if you’re aware of what’s actually going on, that they aren’t actually reading minds. I mean, if you’ve seen that Woody Allen movie Curse of the Jade Scorpion, you’ll know why I say this. If people truly have these sorts of abilities then why are they wasting them on these tricks? In the movie a hypnotist uses volunteers from his audience as drones to steal priceless jewelry. Well of course that’s a little too dramatic for the real world, but why haven’t we at least ever heard of some guy using mind control techniques to convince someone to hand over their wallet?

becuzz mind reading dosin’t exsist and the only brain contoling technich is if a strong spirit alters your memorys wich never happans cuzz it’s useless to spirits and is impossibul for humens, if i had that power then the hole world would be at pease and only cults would hate it cuzz of thair racetisam

Most of the hollywood or television depictions are complete bullsh!t. It’s just like Magic, if someone is really a great magician why not make all the guns in the world disappear? or why not be greedy and vanish all the gold in a certain bank and have it appear in your basement? No, instead magicians tour the country for a lousy few hundred bucks a gig. Oh come on….
Mentalism is a form of ‘magic’, it’s an well planned illusion. The ‘performer’ puts you in a situation that appears to be very random and chaotic and that you’re in control but you’re not. You’re an enclosed situation where they’re putting things into your head indirectly then astonishing you by repeating BS they’ve fed you subliminally.
If someone can really read minds then you should be able to ask them to recite your thoughts "IMMEDIATELY" . No writing numbers on post its, no guessing games … not of that…. I want you to tell me what I am thinking NOW, with no song and dance.
But see these can’t do that, and that’s why they’re fakes.

.Is it BS? Well,the government has been working with mentalists for years…can someone read your mind? Probably…If they have the ability. Some things are definatley tricks though.
