What do you think of President Obama going into the Lions Den and slaying 140 Republicans?
Please tell me you didn’t just reference Obama with something from the Bible…….

It was good. I heard that many of the GOP said off the record, "That was a mistake, and the 2nd mistake was televising it." Oops. ha ha

I think that if you’re celebrating the "slaying" of 140 republicans, then you’re part of the problem.
I would also think this of someone celebrating the "slaying" of 140 democrats by (God help me) President McCain.

that sounds like it will take action, something not likely to happen from the white house.

I’m not sure why the Republicans should be bending over backwards to give Obama this chance, after he just spent a year shutting them out of the governing process.
Obama has conducted himself as a boorish partisan hack, spewing lies and insults.
And now he wants Republicans to work with him, as if it was the GOP who refused to meet the Democrats half-way?
Bah! Piss on Obama.

How messed up were you when you watched that??

The lions den are the DEMs
The Dems have the MAJORITY in BOTH houses.
it’s the DEMS that are blocking everything.
The Republicans (a super minority) can do nothing but take sh88 from the Lead Lier.
Wake UP everyone, Dems are the problem.

Isn’t the point of the U.S. political system a debate to find common ground? I think the process is a good one to find that common ground. Why be so negative and cynical? We get no where when people view such things as points to make light of.
When not only our government representatives grow up in this country and our citizens do the same then we will get back to the roots that made our country strong in the first place.
Grow up people.

Your question is an oxymoron, a liberal asking a question with a biblical reference is impossible. You folks hate the bible and detest Christian faith. You should reference the Koran, you people love that thing.

Obama slayed no one. That wasn’t his purpose. He went into that meeting to air out differences and to get Republicans to work with him. I watched that meeting on CSPAN and I came away thinking that if Obama can get Pelosi to stop shutting down Republicans from participating in crafting bills, he has a shot to do well. After the meeting the Republican leadership was encouraged that they can work with Obama if he is true to his word. The fact that Obama extended the olive branch is a good first step. Obama told Republican leadership that he will meet with leadership of both parties in the same room on a monthly basis so that all parties are included in the legislative process. Finally, Obama did mention that the Republicans are responsible for the debt due to Bush borrowing for everything he did when attacked on deficits. But he did admit to legislative mistakes concerning the healthcare bill. All parties agreed to clean up their acts and work together. Let’s hope it happens. It can only help this country in deep crisis on so many levels.
